The men of our society, the society of Trinidad and Tobago are in danger. Everywhere any where they lie hopeless and helpless. On the streets, on the sidewalls, in the parks, under the canopy of business places owned by rich business men, our men lie. There is one man I remember I passed him in Port of Spain sitting on a culvert. He asked me for some water. I had no water. I went and did my business. I bought my lunch and returned. As I passed by he was still sitting there. He did not ask for water this time. He did not even notice when I passed. But a voice said to me give him the water. The water I bought for myself to do my business. I said no. I went on for about 50 ft. My concience pricked me. I walked back and said to him "here is some water". He was very thankful. I left wondering why is it that this man, other men sit hopeless and helpless. I passed by another day. Another man had joined him sitting in the same place.
I wanted to help these street dwellers. I wanted to start a ministry to men. A ministry that would seek them out, help them out. It may be "they are paying for their wrong doings" I usually say. But how long will they pay. I remember what the scriptures say about Nebuchadnezzar
Daniel 4:25That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. I also remembered his end: 36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
I wonder can some of these men belike this, can their reason, their glory, their kingdom, honour and brightnes return to them ... can these men be restored to become productive contributors to the welfare of society. If Nebuchadnezzar did, they can. I want to be an instrument for their deliverance. I want to lead a ministry that focuses on the restoration of men.

I have seen a piece of land (the one pictured here) on Tumpuna Road. Its 1 acre and a half in size. I want to start by acquiring this property, erecting a tent and begin by providing Food, Clothing and Shelter to men. My longer term vision is to help these men develop and recover skills that can be used to make them self sufficient and become contributors to society.

I am thinking, how should I proceed. The owner of the property that I have viewed is asking $TT 6.5M for it. How can I raise funds to purchase this property. Well I was previously planning to purchase a property (the one to the left) for $TT .75M. This was for investment in furture retirement so I do not need it right away. There is a Three Bedroom house on it. I will renovate this house and use it to commence the shelter for the homeless men. It can easily accommodate about three men at least, about six men at most. But I would not want to let them share rooms. I will provide food (3 meals per day) shelter and clothing.
